It takes Pain to grow
Look at this young lady in the picture above. This is an exercise that is designed to promote power and strength. Yes, it will challenge her. Yes, it will make her tired, yes, it will make her sore! Yes, it will make her stronger!!
In a time where we are looking for comfort, it is easy to become complacent. I am reminded of the many times in my life where it was adversity, defeat and an unsettled level of self-confidence that was the catalyst for growth mentally and physically. There is a fine line between being comfortable and complacent. Neither one of these terms mentioned above involves a process that causes disappointment or pain. Disappointment and pain are a stimulus for growth. It is very evident that after coaching for 45 years that you learn much more from your losses that you do from your victory’s. That you profit much more from your pain than you do from your comfort.
Pain can be seen as the fertilizer for growth. Listen to what your faith, attitudes, conscience, and goals are trying to tell you! If it was easy, everybody would think like this! Be different challenge yourself to accept the opportunity to grow from being uncomfortable!
